RUGBY SCRUM: “Yes, nine” scrum call to be axed?
COMMON SENSE = 1 OVER-OFFICIOUSSNESS = 0
Next thing to be seriously reviewed and scrapped is:
All the referees’ verbal interference during play. Refs must not to talk to any of the players when the game is being played. On stoppages the referees may choose to address either or both captains (not other players) by Shirt number, “Captain” or “Sir”.
Any other type of intervention are unacceptable and break down the discipline and figure of authority of the referees. Referees MUST NOT: Manage, Coach, Police. They are the rightfully chosen and educated ENABLERS OF THE GAME!
THEIR ATTITUDE HAS GOT TO CHANGE!
